Bonjour mes amies! Are you a loyal airline flyer, or do you search for the best deal?

If searching for the best deal is your nature, you are not alone. Because polls are my favorite-st thing, I conducted one, and 82% of the mes amies who voted, shared that they searched for the best flight deal.
I was definitely a search for the best flight kind of fille, but lately, things are changing. Avec the cost of all flights rising and the cost for business and first class resulting in dropped jaws, I’ve reconsidered my stance.
Before the world changed, I flew whoever offered the best deal on business class. Post-change of the world, there are beaucoup other factors that I take into account (before class.) One is the duration of the flight. Because I travel so frequently and often for short spans of time, I’m willing to pay more for a flight that can get me to my destination faster than I am with business class.
But because I believe in abundance and I relish in luxury that extends beyond designer bags, I want all of the things while maintaining my financial freedom. I’m trés, trés close to picking an airline and sticking with them, irrespective of the flights’ cost (I cringed typing that.)

Here are a few perks that I gathered about flying with a singular airline (or its partners):
1. Loyalty Programs: Many airlines have loyalty programs or frequent flyer programs that reward regular customers with various benefits. These programs typically allow those who are loyal to earn points or miles for their flights, which can be redeemed for upgrades, free tickets, access to airport lounges, priority boarding, and other exclusive perks.
2. Priority Services: Loyal frequent flyers and premium class passengers often receive priority treatment throughout their journey. The priority treatment includes priority check-in, security screening, boarding, and baggage handling. Saving time and an enhance the overall travel experience is certainly a luxury.
3. Lounge Access: Exclusive airport lounges for premium class passengers, frequent flyers, or members of their loyalty programs are such a perk. Lounges offer a comfortable and quiet space to relax, work, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and access amenities such as Wi-Fi, showers, and business facilities. I have been “called out” for having designer luggage (linked below) and not “being” in a lounge. I have shared this beaucoup times; recording in a lounge is not trés chic; thus, I record my airport content prior to entering the lounge.
4. Extra Baggage Allowance: Some airlines offer increased baggage allowances for certain ticket classes, loyalty program members, or specific destinations. This can be beneficial pour mes amies who “need” (I’m kidding) to carry additional luggage without incurring extra fees. While I am team carry-on, there are times when must check-in, so if I’m not in business class, having status with an airline and thus not having to pay to check a bag is a plus.
I must use the time to share that I now offer packing services! Oui mes amies, avec over nineteen years of international travel experience avec only a carry-on, and mes amies who have watched my travel vlogs know that I do not skimp on style. Click here if you’re interested in learning more about this service.
5. Upgrades: Mes amies who choose to fly with a specific airline may have a higher chance of receiving complimentary upgrades to a higher class of service. Upgrades can provide access to enhanced cabin amenities, more comfortable seating, better in-flight entertainment, et tres superior dining options.
6. Seamless Connections: Airlines that are part of the same alliance or have codeshare agreements with other airlines can provide passengers with smoother connections between flights. This can eliminate the hassle of re-checking baggage which is often required with international flights.
7. Dedicated Customer Service: Regular customers of an airline may have access to dedicated customer service lines or representatives who can assist with reservations, changes, and other inquiries. This may not seem like a perk, but having personalized assistance can be the ultimate luxury when resolving during your travels.
8. Exclusive Offers and Discounts: Airlines often offer exclusive promotions, discounts, or sales to their loyal customers. These can include discounted fares, bonus miles, companion tickets, or special offers for hotel bookings, car rentals, or other travel-related services.
There are many factors to consider before deciding on only flying a specific airline. Those who live in airline hubs (major cities where many airlines operate frequently) or you live in an airline headquarters may consider having multiple loyal lines. Be sure to read the fine print of your credit card. Many travel-heavy credit cards offer Lounge Access, Baggage, etc. Not last and certainly not least is deciding if having “loyalty” is even worth it for you. Do you travel much? Do you travel to the same destination? Does airline status matter to you?
I do hope that these listed perks help mes amies decide if being loyal to an airline is worth it.
Now I must ask, are you loyal to a particular airline?
Ciao for now 💋
Preloved LV Travel:
My credit card is attached to the airline I use most often but I still pick the better price when flying because I don’t travel that often. Also, the perks of this airline card have decreased over the years and they have lost my Standom.
I recently read that (some) airline credit cards won’t even grant you access to the lounge! That’s RIDICULOUS!
